Exterior Boarding Magply
All properties need maintenance over time and Park Homes are no exception.
The exterior walls can perish due to older park homes not being built to the same standard as they are today often using thin inadequate plywood.
That’s why we now use Magnesium Oxide 9mm (Magply) boards for all our exterior renovations as this offers a rot free alternative to plywood.
Our Normal Procedure is:
- Remove the rotten plyboards & Insulation
- Inspect & replace any rotten wall joists
- Fit 25mm Celotex cavity wall insulation
- Fit breathable membrane (stopping damp penetration)
- Fit 9mm Magply exterior wallboards, complete with a wooden drip rail
- Lastly, coat new boards in Resitex Textured stipple Finish
